TeSys Island

TeSys Island is designed to switch, protect and manage motors and other electrical loads up to 37kW/80A in an electric control panel.

FEATURES

TeSys™ Island is a digital load management solution to make machines smarter and more reliable. It is a fully digitized, object-oriented load management system and an Industry 4.0 compliant data provider. It reduces the time it takes to market machines, allowing OEMs to move forward on their journey to Industry 4.0. TeSys island provides users with easy remote access to predictive and preventive application data, leading to early diagnosis and maintenance.

With TeSys Island’s object-oriented approach: 
- Simplified application selection and system configuration; - Engineering tasks are automated and reduced; - faster installation of the machine is possible. 

In addition, TeSys Island supports major automation fieldbuses such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet and Profibus. It is easily integrated into Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure™ Machine Expert and Rockwell’s Studio 5000 and can be easily integrated into the third-party TIA portal.

• The system handles motors and other electrical loads up to 80A/37kW

• Up to 20 modules and 1 bus coupler (up to 112cm long) can be connected to each other – a large catalog of 30 avatars ranging from device level to application level, in capsule and summarizes the internal logic and allows automation experts to focus on their application.

• One-click mounting on DIN rail

• No control or auxiliary cabling is required, thanks to full connectivity via the field bus

• All settings and settings are digitized, no mechanical dials or dip switches

• Modules with digital and analog I/O are available to link external signals

• Different products meet international standards (IEC / UL / CSA 61010, IEC / UL / CSA 60947, GB/T14018)

• Only 20 commercial part numbers for the complete system, including 5 standard starters and 5 SIL starters for functional safety systems according to IEC 61508, IEC 62061 and ISO 13849-1

• Energy monitoring for each individual load as well as for the entire block 

• Cyber security integrated into the system (Achilles Level 2).

Data Provider

• TeSys island provides data that allows the end user to make intelligent decisions in advance, with pre-alarms that help reduce both machine stops and downtime.

• The Avatar logic integrated into the TeSys island bus coupler drastically reduces the programming time of the PLC. Seamless integration is achieved through functional blocks in the EcoStruxure architecture as well as in programmable controllers of other major players in automation. 

• With the integrated Operating and Maintenance Tool (OMT) as a web server, commissioning, maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting can be done easily, even without the installation of any software

• EcoStruxure Machine Advisor, part of EcoStruxure’s Apps & Analytics architecture, features a dashboard that displays energy consumption and other critical data for Level C and Plant managers, and advanced diagnostics of particular problems.

• EcoStruxure Augmented Operator Advisor, which is also part of EcoStruxure’s Apps & Analytics architecture, provides the operator or maintenance service with easy and secure access to real-time data from the running machine, as well as data sheets, tutorials and other documents used during operations and maintenance.

• By connecting TeSys Island to the EcoStruxure Machine architecture, it is possible to remotely track, monitor and increase system performance, and perform maintenance after hours. 

• With predictive alarms, users are now better informed about the status of the application and can take appropriate action to prevent a machine failure.

• With standalone control mode, users can now rely on avatar logic to control basic application operations based on application sensors (process variable).
