Together, LUCAS and AKEROS wish to deploy, through robotic integrators and end customers, solutions that meet the digital transformation objectives of industries. This ambition is already well anchored in the landscape of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in addition to government objectives making industry a major lever in the revival of the French economy.

Innovation being the very essence of these two companies, this collaboration appeared as obvious with the creation of the "Sheet metal working 4.0" project supported by the region, which brings together a series of robotic modular machines, capable of adapting to a large diversity of location of European sheet metal works.

According to Aurélien WULSZTAT, President and R&D Director at AKEROS: “LUCAS and AKEROS have a common vision of the potential of this solution. With ISI, we want to provide a key to creating values in automated industrial production and offer a tool for analyzing operations”.

Thanks to the AKEROS interoperability platform, it is now possible to communicate a laser machine with robotic lathes (storage, sorting, stripping, tapping, drilling, order preparation) that can be combined and configured. A solution allowing its user to simply automate his production line, whatever his sector of activity.

“Creating, manufacturing and promoting our products are essential, but modernizing them with innovative technologies is fundamental to facing current industrial challenges. The solution we created with AKEROS is in place in our factory in Bazas. It gives us a better return, allowing us to be more competitive in view of our European competitors”, explains Jonathan LUCAS, Commercial Director of LUCAS.

This logic implies a change within the LUCAS teams, with an evolution of the internal organization, but also the recruitment of future technical engineers whom they wish to support in their learning.

On the side of AKEROS, this association will make it possible to accelerate the deployment of their ISI solution on the national and European market. The objective is also to strengthen their technical team and to develop the solution with the addition of functionalities.

LUCAS and AKEROS are convinced that the promotion of this know-how is essential to innovate and contribute to regional and national economic development.
