Doubling of production rates

It is in response to the problems of cadence and quality that a paper manufacturer has called upon RECMI Industrie.
The stacking and palletizing of the reams of paper at the end of the cutting machine, previously done manually by operators, did not allow to follow the cadence of the machine.
RECMI Industrie has therefore developed a «tailor-made» solution that allows the doubling of production rates.
This objective has been achieved:

• by removing the limitations related to the arduousness of the task (automation)
• avoiding disruptive machine shutdowns in stacking.
  
  

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among operators have also been significantly reduced.

A working principle that guarantees the quality of stacking

Paper is a delicate product, so the challenge was double, increasing the production rate while preserving the product.
The stacking system designed by RECMI Industrie is integrated into the upstream machine and keeps its mode of operation. Digitally controlled stacking ensures a continuity of flow that preserves the products and allows to obtain a very high quality of stacking.
Once the batteries are formed, they are recovered by a palletizing robot equipped with a specific gripper and placed on a pallet. When the pallet is complete, it is automatically evacuated and replaced by an empty pallet.
The cell can process different formats and operate in single or dual streams. It also has an integrated production control, which allows the collection of samples.
