FARBAL at Prod&Pack 2025: A Sustainable Approach with Its Energy Retrofit Solution |
This innovative approach enhances the performance of existing equipment while keeping costs under control and reducing environmental impact.
A Two-Step Energy Retrofit Procedure
The Farbal energy-saving program consists of an on-site audit followed by a technical intervention phase:
1. On-site audit (half-day)
A Farbal technician analyzes the existing equipment and checks its performance — turbines, resistances, sealing curtains, and more. The machine’s electrical consumption is then measured before any modification, using a test console equipped with various electrical components. This step determines the percentage of achievable energy savings, estimated between –10% and –20%, depending on the condition of the installation.
2. Quotation and on-site intervention
Following the audit, a detailed list of required components (electrical, mechanical, automation-related, etc.) is established. A Farbal technician then returns to the site to install the new components and carry out tests on the upgraded equipment.
A Sustainable and Cost-Effective Retrofit Approach for Farbal Machines
This retrofit solution is part of a sustainable development approach, allowing users to upgrade their Farbal machines without investing in new equipment.
The benefits are numerous:
- Extended service life of existing machines.
- Adaptation to new production requirements.
- Improved safety through the integration of new electrical components.
- Significant reduction in energy, maintenance, and service costs.
- Lower environmental impact through greater energy efficiency.
The Farbal retrofit solution is fully compatible with older machines of the brand, allowing manufacturers to modernize their existing equipment without complete replacement, while improving their energy performance.
