Mecapack unveils the O² 2000: a new generation of tray sealers designed to meet the demands of food production |

At CFIA 2026, Mecapack will present its latest sealing innovation, the O² 2000, developed to meet the major challenges facing manufacturers: versatility of MAP and SKIN processes, enhanced hygiene and optimised ergonomics, optimisation of investments, etc.

With its Standard, High Skin and Flat Skin configuration options, the O² 2000 tray sealer adapts to all MAP and SKIN packaging applications without compromising on performance, reliability or ease of use.

The O2 2000 tray sealer has three major advantages:

 

Versatility and process

The O²2000 tray sealer is available in three main configurable models:

  • O²2000 (Standard) – Heat sealer for traditional MAP or Skin trays with products up to 25 mm high,
  • O²2000 HSK (High Skin) – Similar model but equipped with preheating for skin packaging with products exceeding 50 mm in height.
  • O²2000 FSK (Flat Skin) – Configuration that can accommodate both MAP and skin trays and plates. An ingenious device allows the same tooling to be used for immediate transition from MAP to skin packaging exceeding 50 mm in height.

These models can of course be customised with a wide range of configurations (loading bridge length, etc.) and options (destacker, thermal marking, etc.). This flexibility makes it easy to adapt production to market needs.

 

Ergonomics and performance

The machine has been designed to facilitate the work of operators, technicians and cleaning teams:

  • Full access to tools with a main door opening across the entire height of the machine
  • Upper tools can be pivoted or removed depending on the configuration
  • Quick-release design for the upper tools for simplified maintenance
  • Numerous retractable panels for full accessibility for cleaning and maintenance
  • Ergonomic and user-friendly HMI: a design focused on efficiency, safety and ease of use.

 

Hygiene and cleanability

The O² 2000 has been designed to meet the growing demands of production workshops:

  • Stainless steel grating loading bridge
  • Hygienic mat with retractable lower casings • Mat structure without central foot and lower box for easy washing
  • Electrical cabinet positioned at the rear, outside the wet area
  • Quick connectors on the tools for fast and safe cleaning

 

These choices optimise cleaning times, simplify daily operations and guarantee impeccable hygiene.
