Retrofit of industrial machines: a key strategy for the agri-food industry in the face of economic and environmental challenges |
AMS
While industrialists in the agri-food sector are under constant pressure to improve their competitiveness, reduce costs and achieve energy and environmental objectives, retrofitting industrial machines is a strategic solution.
In the agri-food field, where production lines must be reliable and operational 24/7, retrofitting allows to maintain activity while reducing risks related to equipment obsolescence.
Retrofit often includes modernization of control systems, integration of new functionalities or more efficient components, which improves the reliability of production lines.
The objective of Agro Multi Services is to improve performance and reduce energy consumption of old equipment. The company can thus replace asynchronous motors with Brushless motors, less energy-consuming or even add vacuum blocks in the moulds, for small and medium sized trays. An arrangement that allows to reduce the cycle time of the vacuum and thus the consumption of the vacuum pump. Finally, Agro Multi Services is working on the regulation of pneumatic flows, with latest-generation components.
