In order to reliably secure access points in explosion-hazardous areas, Schmersal has expanded its range of optoelectronic protective devices.
The SLC/SLG440 safety barriers and light curtains in Ex version have been developed for these demanding application areas. Optoelectronic protection devices can be used in particularly explosive gas and dust atmospheres of zones 1/ 21 to secure hazardous positions. ©Schmersal Group
With the new EX-SLC/SLG440 series, safety barriers and light curtains in Ex version are now available. This allows us to combine the highest safety standards with a quality that no longer needs to be proven.
In many production sectors, the risk of explosion is high, particularly in the chemical industry, refineries or paint shops using flammable coating products. Dust can also lead to an explosion risk in bulk sectors, such as the feed or recycling industry, sawmills or grain companies.
